The aim of the thesis was to evaluate the breeding of "pinnipeds" (sea lions, seals and walrus families) in the Czech Republic. Breeding "pinnipeds" in the Czech Republic has already begun in 1934. In this work, breeding is monitored both in the Czech Republic and in Europe. In my work, I monitor the period between 1989-2020. Data on the Czech Republic were drawn mainly from the yearbooks of the Union of Czech and Slovak Zoological Gardens. Data on the breeding of "pinnipeds" in Europe are drawn from the ZIMS (Zoological Information Management Software) database.
